イギリスのメディアのベストアルバムリストが軒並み発表されていますが、これが私の知る限り初のアメリカメディアのリスト。
ちなみに、Pasteマガジンは、今年雑誌を廃刊にし、ウェブサイトだけで残るという厳しい選択を余儀なくされました……。ベスト10の順位には、うーむ……なるほど、と少し納得できない部分もあります。が、恐らく他のメディアがどういうランクにするのかを考えながら、独自のリストにしようとしたのだと思うけど、それで意図がわからなくなっているように見えます。
と言いつつ、イギリスの現時点でのリストでは１位じゃなかったら２位というアーケイド・ファイアですが、アメリカのリストでは結構バラバラな位置にランクされそうな予感も。現時点で、ローリング・ストーンとピッチフォークはあんなに褒めたんだから、Kayne Westが１位だろうとは思うけど、となると、SPINがArcade Fire１位かな。
ちなみに、アメリカメディアは、NMEのリストに「１位がThese New Puritansでカニエが34位ってどういうこと？」と反応。またMOJOのJohn Grantについては、彼が誰なのかを念のため解説していました。カニエは、イギリスで人気ないんですかね？チャートも良くなかったですよね。
