６月25日の急死以来、チャートの独占状態が続いているマイケル・ジャクソン。オフィシャル・チャーツ・カンパニーが発表した今週のチャートでは、その勢いはさらに増している。

アルバム・チャートのトップ５のうち実に４枚がマイケル・ジャクソン作品で、13枚のアルバムがトップ200にランク・インした。１位は先週に引き続きベスト盤『The Essential』。

トップ５の残りの１枚は、２位になったフローレンス・アンド・ザ・マシーンのデビュー作『ラングス』。今年リリースされたデビュー・アルバムとしては、発売１週間で最高の売上げを記録している。

シングル・チャートでは、カスケーダの“エヴァキュエイト・ザ・ダンスフロア”が２週連続でトップ。先週３位のラ・ルー“ブレットプルーフ”は２位に上がった。トップ200のうち、５分の１がマイケル・ジャクソン作品となった。
